THE HOMEMADE VERSION … A RECIPE
January 29 2010
As promised hereby a very easy to make homemade BIO soup. Make sure to make a big pot full and freeze in portions, then you’ll have dinner ready faster than a private agent can snap a photo on those nights where you don’t have time to be adventurous in the kitchen, have an empty fridge or simply don’t feel like cooking!
Sweet potato and carrot soup
6 carrots
2 sweet potatoes
2 small dry red chilies
5 cardamom pods
A bit of fresh ginger cut into small pieces
Salt and pepper
Peel carrots and potatoes and chop into smaller pieces. Fry everything in a bit of oil for a minute, then boil everything together with a bit of vegetable broth for 15 minutes. Let cool for a bit, mix in a blender with a bit of soymilk/cream and a dash of olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Sprinkle with roasted pumpkin seeds. Et viola…

QUICK AND EASY
January 21 2010
Sometimes a very quick and easy dinner is called for! It has been a long search and I much prefer to do my own, BUT I’m happy to rapport, that I think I have finally found a decent “ready to eat” BIO soup. A lot has been bought, tried and tested chez Agent L, and up until now every single one has been a disappointment…. Marc Veyrat is what you want to look for at the supermarket. He makes a soup that actually tastes of the on the box mentioned vegetables and has a nice and filling texture. Add a slice of your favorite whole grain bread and you have a very easy and healthy BIO dinner. Must say again though… it is so easy to make your own soup and so much better! So just make a big pot and freeze in portions and you have soup ready for those busy days!! An easy recipe will be brought to you in a few days…
A tip: On the Marc Veyrat box it says OK to heat in microwave, but why do that? Use a small casserole – I’m sure it is better for the ingredients and therefore for you!

January 13 2010
So how to? Agent L will help you get started on your new and BIO life. Whatever your personal challenge… want to feel better in general, want to take better care of you and your family, have a busy life with lots of travelling and therefore a hard time following a specific diet, have a job that has you dining out all the time, want to save the planet (or at least do your part)… Whatever your personal case, we’ll solve it together. A personal course where we start out with a house call to a talk about lifestyle, household and well being. Following this agent will feed you good advice, and maybe an occasional recipe, over the email for a period of 3 weeks and in the end we’ll meet for one last time to follow up and solve any last mysteries….
HOW TO BIO – A FEW GENERAL TIPS
January 11 2010
1. BREAKFAST
It is important to start the day with a good and healthy BIO breakfast that will keep you going till lunch. It will keep your blood sugar levels stable all day and give you lots of energy.
A winter starter: Warm porridge made from your favorite cereal flakes (oats, millet, quinoa, rice), mix in a few raisins or other dried fruits. Add a sliced banana or a grated apple and top of with some nuts.
A tip: Stir in some cinnamon it adds great flavor and is known to lower blood sugar levels – and as a bonus it warms you up!

2. SKINCARE
Avoid all parabens in your skincare! It is an ongoing debate whether parabens are disturbing to our hormones or not. But to this agent there are enough studies out there, which prove just that! So therefore for you, your family – especially the smaller members – avoid the following when shopping skincare:
Parabens
Synthetic colors
Synthetic perfume
A tip: Even nature’s own sweet smelling ingredients can cause allergic reactions on some, so if you have sensitive skin, try to avoid too many natural essential oils.
3. HOUSEHOLD
Always go for “the green” option when you buy your cleaning products and washing detergents. Look for the little stamp that promises you that the specific product has been approved by a recognized organization.
A tip: Remember to always fill up the machine when washing to save energy!
HOW TO BIO – LOOKING FOR MORE TIPS…?
January 11 2010
Many years working the BIO fields has given this agent a solid knowledge on what is out there, what works, what doesn’t, what is brilliant and what is just really bad. One thing is for sure… working hard on many different cases every day calls for a lot of energy and feeling on top! And many years ago I realized how much it matters what we eat and how we think… what goes in quickly shows as great energy, mood swings, or feeling heavy and tired.
My key to healthy living is the best produce – and to me there is no doubt that is in most cases BIO. Whether it is vegetables, fruits, meats, eggs, milk or whatever… the BIO option is the way to go! But it doesn’t stop at the food, to me BIO is a way of living and that goes all round … my skincare, my cleaning products and taking care of the environment in general. How to BIO is my one and only ongoing case. The one that will never be closed, but always explored!
Also it is important to note that this agent is “an eater” who just loves good food. Home cooked or eaten out, no case will be solved without good breaks for delicious meals. And to many no no’s will surely affect the mood negatively, and is not the way to go. But healthy everyday living leaves plenty of room for fun as well… and the more you learn the more you find that fun, delicious and healthy can easily go hand in hand!
Changing your habits and your way of living is a big step, and can seem a bit overwhelming. So much different advice in articles, so many different and new products in the health stores and supermarkets, and all those tips from agents and friends…vegetables that you have never seen before and have no clue how to name – let alone use! It’s a jungle of mysteries. But the reward once you get started is so worth it. And the only thing important and what really counts is to find the way that works for you – and puts a smile on your face!
Agent L can help you find your way on HOW TO BIO! How to BIO when it comes to your diet, your skin, your house and your clothes?
