Today a dear friend of mine celebrated no less than two birthdays. Rose Bakery has been around for seven years at Montmartre and for one in the heart of the Marais! Happy birthday to everybody at Rose and thank you for all the great BIO meals and desserts already eaten and many more to come…

MY LOCAL BIO RESTO

October 19 2009

Out and about is always exciting, new places to explore and you never know what you might just stumble on… BUT it is also nice with those local “a home away from home” types of places, that you keep going back to, because the food is good, the service is kind and best of all, it is just around the corner. This agent is very lucky to have found such a place – Super Nature is just a five minute walk from headquarters and is the place I go to enjoy a BIO lunch on the days where important cases keep me working by the computer all day.
Everyday at Super Nature you’ll find a menu of 3-4 starters, 5-6 main courses and 6-7 desserts to choose from. All made from in season ingredients. Not only vegetarian, but with lots of vegetables featured in risottos, galettes, salads, tarts and soups. And those desserts are hard to resist. This is not haut cuisine, but good and wholesome cooking at affordable prices. Go for lunch, dinner or the famous Sunday brunch!

A tip: On the go… try Super Nature take-away just next door.

WEEKEND TIP

October 17 2009

Don’t miss the big ”VIVEZ NATURE SALON” in Paris this weekend. There will be lots of interesting new products to sample and plenty of opportunity to snoop around … and a restaurant that will serve you a good BIO lunch I’m sure!

A tip: Take the metro to Porte de Pantin

WARM FEET

October 15 2009

Winter came overnight! It’s cold and an agent working long days outside needs to stay warm. I have learned that the most important is to keep those feet warm. Do that and you can stay focused on the case and not miss important details! And I’ve got some good news on that case that I just wanted to share… the perfect BIO wool/angora socks can be found at BIO MOI in the Marais. At 14 euro’s for 2 pairs it is even a good deal! They will definitely get this agent through the winter…

A tip: You can also do some very good BIO grocery shopping at BIO MOI

MADEMOISELLE BIO

October 12 2009

No, I’m not talking about myself! But a new beauty shop in town. This one actually started on the internet and have now decided to open a shop as well (usually it’s the other way around, isn’t it?) – mais merci Mademoiselle! What a great place, with a mix of all the BIO beauty labels out there. You’ll find some good old classics like Dr. Hauschka and Patyka, but at Mademoiselle BIO they also keep up with all the new brands, which are introduced to the market as we speak. They carry good quality products that are still affordable, but at the same time give you a feeling of luxury. The shop is nice and easy to explore; shampoos all together, face care all together and so on… and there is a whole section for men only and one for babies.

A tip: Thank god I have many years of experience working in the field… The shop is not easy to find, but look for a small pink marquise…

MY HERBORISTERIE

October 12 2009

A fan of the old virtues and all things classic it is also a great pleasure for me to visit my herboristerie. Located behind the Palais Royal and with shelves filled with all the herbs and infusions you can think of, this place is an old fashioned herb-heaven! A dream for an agent who believes that herbs and a healthy organic diet will keep you fit for fight all year round. I go here to buy my infusions, which I drink at night after my meal. And if there is anything in specific that I feel needs a little special attention and care, I ask for advice from the nice ladies working here… and they always have a perfect mixture for whatever… a cure for everything.

BIO MARCHÈS À PARIS

October 5 2009

In every neighborhood in Paris you’ll find a local food market. They pop up once or twice a week. They are booming with greens, fruits, cheeses, meets, fish and more… And any French lady (or agent), with respect for food and the pleasure of eating and cooking, will do most of her shopping at the local market – a very Parisian thing to do on a weekend morning. This agent, as you have probably already guessed, would not shop at any market though… but of course only at the BIO marchés!

A tip: Try a galette aux pommes at the Raspail market!

UNDERCOVER ?

October 2 2009

Is it an agent hiding in the bushes of the Palais Royal?
No, it’s just the first days of autumn, and they feel just like the last days of summer! Sun is out and you can still enjoy a break in the park! Just wanted to share that with you…
